Running training plan for 5K to ultra

Intervals at your threshold

Your running training plan sets every pace from your threshold, or from the runs you've logged until you know it. You decide how many runs a week, or leave that to the coach.

What the coach plans for running

Paces from your threshold

Your threshold pace anchors every session, and if you don't have one yet, the coach works from the runs you've logged.

Heart rate zones

Train by heart rate and your zones come from your threshold heart rate or your max heart rate.

A race on the calendar

A 5k training plan or an ultra, you set the race and its date, and the easy and long runs in your running training plan follow it.

Every interval logged

Log pace and heart rate for each interval right next to the target, or share a Garmin link and the laps fill in.

A sample week

Here's one example of how a week from a half marathon training plan could look with two gym days in it.

  1. Mon Running Intervals
  2. Tue Gym Full body
  3. Wed Rest
  4. Thu Running Threshold
  5. Fri Gym Upper body
  6. Sat Running Long run
  7. Sun Rest

Combine it with

Whether you're on a 10k training plan or a marathon training plan, the coach fits your runs in with everything else you train and never puts two hard days back to back.
